WWII German Late War Binoculars by Swarovski with Bakelite Case
Item #: AA3730
This is an original pair of German Dienstglas 6x30 binoculars used during World War II. The binoculars come with a black bakelite case, case carrying strap, rubber eye cup, neck strap, button flap and rubber lens cover. The binoculars are light tan painted which was a later-war color used with Army issued binoculars. The paint is faded, aged, and missing from the high points of the binoculars. Despite the missing paint they remain in great overall condition. These binoculars also feature dark brown bakelite eye pieces (another late-war feature) and crystal clear optics. The original distance reticle is clearly visible through the right eye lens. All adjustment knobs are fully functional. The left side of the binoculars are "cag" maker stamped (Swarovski) with a blue painted triangle which indicates these were made to withstand low temperatures. The 6x30 binoculars were issued to Officers and NCO's. Regardless of rank, any squad leader was issued a set of these. The bakelite case is in great condition with black leather straps. The bottom of the left belt loop has a Waffen Ampt stamp. Overall this is a very desirable set of German made binoculars with case that were used during and survived WWII. They will look great in your collection!
