This is the Report of Patriotic Instructor for Auxiliary Number 6 of the William H. Erwin Post in the Department of Kansas. The report is preprinted and requires that only the blanks be filled in. The report is for the period of 1 January, 1943 to 1 January, 1944. During that reporting period the Auxiliary NO. 6 visited 2 schools on patriotic days, celebrate President McKinley's birthday, commemorate the anniversary of the sinking of the Maine, held the annual muster on 21 April, observed the declaration of war with Spain on 25 April, and observed all other national patriotic holidays or important dates that occurred during the Spanish American War period. These organizations were a very popular and patriotic way to show the women's support to the armed services, beginning with the Ladies of the GAR and continuing on through the Spanish American War period. This report was prepared and signed by the Auxiliary's Patriotic Instructor, Bessie Eicker and attested to by the Auxiliary President, Mabel Shull. The report is in very good condition, the only flaw are the creases where it has been folded in an envelope for decades.
