This is a North Vietnamese Army officer's shirt used during the 1966-1973 period. The standard shirt worn by NVA officers in South Vietnam had a stand and fall collar, tow pleated chest pockets, scalloped pocket flaps, darts along the rear shoulder seam, pleased cuffs at the wrist and belt loops on the back. The reed green cotton twill material is in very good condition, showing one small tear on the back and several small pinholes scattered around. There are no stains anywhere on the uniform. All of the stitching is still very tight and unbroken. The single breasted four button front is unfortunately missing a button. The two pocket buttons and the two cuff buttons are missing. The belt loops on the rear, to provide support when the waist belt was worn, are still present. The collar tabs to indicate rank are missing from the collar. This is a nice condition North Vietnamese Army officer's shirt that would look great in a mid to late war Vietnam display, especially with the addition of a few buttons!
