Hello, I'm Mickey Kiser and welcome to the Americana Store.

Hello everyone, thanks for checking in with us! Here's the latest and greatest update from the Americana and War Room Relics world. It's been a little over three weeks since the sites have been updated. For those of you who haven't already heard, the trip to Oklahoma City was an absolute disaster. The trip started out on the 25th of June two hours behind schedule. Before I got out of the city the AC on the truck quit working, but I figured we could tough it out. We stopped at exit 239 on I-40 for fuel, bathroom break and a chance to cool the eight year old off for a few minutes. Jumped back on the interstate and had a blow out at exit 238. Fortunately there is a Discount Tires store there, but they were slammed. Three hours later we're back on the road, four hours from home and five hours behind schedule. We finally stopped for the night in Lonoke, Arkansas after spending 14 hours on a 13 hour trip, and still had six hours to go. We finally arrived in Oklahoma City on the 26th, checked into our hotel and met the Rebel for supper. We got back to the hotel and had a good nights sleep, ready for setup early on the 27th of June. About 7am on the 27th I discovered that my truck had been broken into and most of my inventory was gone. I filed a police report, dropped by the show to let Matt Hindi know what was going on and started back home. Fortunately we got home without incident on the evening of the 28th. Around 4pm on the 30th of June I received a call from the Oklahoma City Police Department, they were pretty certain they had recovered all my items! I was excited to say the least, but that meant another 28 hour trip to recover my items. I couldn't take my truck, along with the AC problem it now has a brake problem and a power steering leak. So I borrowed my dad's car and left for OKC on the the 6th of July. Arrived without incident and met the offices that had recovered my inventory, as it turned out they had recovered 70 out of 98 pieces. Well worth the trip out, but now I have to file an insurance claim. I started back home on the 7th of July and made it all the way to mile marker 412 on I-40 when the car quit, alternator was gone. A $700.00 wrecker bill and three more hours got me home at 5:30 am on the 8th. I had had enough drama for a while and took the family for a little vacation to Gatlinburg from the 10th to the 13th. Now you see why there's been no updates the last three weeks. Today is it for this week, as I leave for Steve Silvia's show in Doswell, Virginia tomorrow. I'll get back home Sunday, work the following Tuesday through Thursday and head out next Friday for the American Digger's show in Chattanooga, Tennessee. So for everybody that thinks this business is all fun and games, it ain't! Site ordering for Akins Americana and War Room Relics is turned off and will remain that way for a while. That doesn't mean you can't buy anything, you're just going to need to call, text or email me in order to purchase something. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but it's necessary right now. Check back often, and as always, if you don't see it listed that doesn't mean we don't have it! Just give us a call anytime, if we don't have it we can probably get it! The Akins Americana inventory shares the same brick and mortar location as War Room Relics. We are located at 1038 South Wilcox Dr, Kingsport, Tennessee 37660. The store is conveniently located less than 10 minutes from Interstate 81. Take exit 57 towards Kingsport and follow Interstate 26 west to exit 4, Wilcox Drive. Driving directions can be found on the War Room Relics Goggle business page. The store hours of operation are Tuesday through Saturday 10am - 6pm. The store is also accessible on Monday by appointment. If you are searching for that elusive relic to complete your collection and don't see it on either website, just give me a call. We have as much inventory not listed as we do on the websites. You can catch us at the shows on the War Room Relics and Akins Americana Facebook pages!
