Early 1900's Bi Fold Wallet
Item #: AA3529
This is an early 1900's bi fold wallet. It measures 5 1/4" tall and 3 1/2" wide. It is made of leather on a metal frame, and looks more to be for photographs than carrying money. A detent catch and release secures the wallet closed. The inside is broken down into two separate sections. The left side has a thin leather cover with a bullion monogramed letter K on it. The cover lifts up to reveal a spot for an image about the size of a cdv. There is space behind that for additional images. The right side is set up similarly, but does not have the monogramed cover. The inside of the metal frame work ornately engraved with floral decorations. I believe this would have been carried by a woman more than a man. The outer leather is well worn, but is not abused. This may fit in well with a WWI personal effects display.
