Model 1851 Navy Colt cap and ball revolver. The 7 1/2" barrel has a single line New York address. Serial number 119413 puts the production year in 1861. All serial numbers match except the wedge and cylinder. The walnut grips have none of the original varnish remaining. The wood has taken on a dark brown patina. The grips fit tight and look good, with a small chip missing from the bottom front corner of the right side. All traces of silver wash are gone, leaving the brass trigger guard backstrap an eye pleasing yellowish patina. The mechanics are still crisp and the cylinder indexes and locks up perfectly. A nice Colt brown gun that has seen more attic time than a belfry bat! Perfect gun for the beginning collector and priced to sell!
