Antique Southwest Branding Iron

Antique branding iron from the southwestern United States. This one was picked up in New Mexico last year on a trip out west. The overall length is 17" with the actual brand measuring 5" long and 2 1/8" wide. The brand is in the shape of a cross with a circle below it. Unfortunately I did not get the meaning of this brand. This will make a great decorative piece if you are looking for that southwestern, cowboy or Spanish look.
