East Tennessee 3 gallon stoneware jar. This one also came out of Greene county Tennessee, very similar to the the painted floral designed jar. It measures 16 1/4" tall, 6 1/2" across the bottom and has a 6" opening. There is a two tone color scheme utilized on this one. A beige lower with a brown upper color was applied long ago. The brown ran on one side of the jar. There is one incised line around the shoulder, along with the number three. The bottom has some discoloration and a little orange color showing through. Still a great decorative piece of early East Tennessee Americana. Special shipping required for this item.
