New York GAR Encampment Medal

Grand Army of the Republic medal from the 37th encampment held in San Francisco, Ca. in 1903. The broach reads GAR / DEPT. OF NEW YORK / EXCELSIOR and measures 1 1/2" across. The red ribbon has silver embossed lettering that reads SAN FRANCISCO. CAL. 1903. The medal is 1 5/8" tall and 1 3/16" wide. The only markings or stamps are on the bottom of the medal and read J.K.D. PHILA. The broach and medal both have a beautiful even bronze patina. If you are a collector of GAR ribbons and medals this will be a great addition!
