Pre Civil War Jews or jaw harp. This little music maker is stamped England and measures 3" in length and 2" at it's widest part. These musical instruments were introduced into the America's in the 1590's by Spanish explorers as trade goods with the native Americans. Northern and Southern soldiers from the Civil War are shown playing them in camp photographs. This one can still make music today!
