Allen & Thurber Pepperbox

Allen & Thurber 31 caliber pepperbox. The 4" barrel is marked in two separate lines. One line reads "Patented 1837 cast Steel". The other line reads Worchester and another stamp that is illegible. The hammer is marked in tow lines, the upper "Allen's Patent". The lower is stamped with the date 1845. There is a serial number stamped on the trigger guard and reads 37. The double action mechanics are functional, but the barrels can be rotated with the hammer down. The grips are fair, with no varnish present.
