This is a dual cast bullet mold made by the Modern Bond Company of Wilmington, Delaware from the 1930's - 1950's. This is their later model, as can be defined by the turned, black lacquered handles and brass pivot pin. The mold measures 9" in length. The molds are detachable blocks, these are marked B-358-742. The handle is marked in raised letters MODERN BOND CORP./WILMINGTON DEL. Modern Bond came onto the reloading scene when Ideal molds were bought out by Marlin in 1910 and then geared up for WWI. Modern Bond was in business from 1920 until the 1950's. This one is in very good condition and could still be used today. It makes .38 caliber 160 grains round nose bullets. Whether you want to use it to reload or display with your mid 1900's firearms, this bullet mold will look good either way.
