WWII USN Radioman 2nd Class Insignia

This is a an insignia for a US Navy Radioman 2nd Class rate used during World War II. It measures 5" high and 3 1/2" wide. The backing is navy blue wool material, with the eagle and specialty mark embroidered in white thread, the 2nd class chevrons are of red thread. This insignia would have been worn on the left sleeve of the blue navy jumper. The same insignia was used by Radio Technician 2nd Class and Telegrapher 2nd Class personnel. This insignia has been removed from a uniform and is slightly frayed in spots along the edges. If you collect WWII USN insignia this would be a good candidate for the collection.
