Pattern 1936 USMC Hat Badge

This is a USMC Pattern 1936 Eagle Globe and Anchor hat insignia used during World War II. This collar insignia is made to be worn on the dress hat. The insignia features the Eagle, Globe and Anchor representative of the Marine Corps. The bronze finish has some great eye appeal, allowing the fine details of the eagle and the fouled rope around the anchor to really stand out. There is no maker mark on the back of the insignia. It is possible this one could be one made in Australia when the 1st Marine Division was operating from there. Regardless of the maker, this screw back hat device will add a nice touch to any WWII Marine Corps collection or display.
