Model 1892 Regulation Style Bugle Made in Germany

This is a Model 1892 Bugle made of brass measuring 17 1/4" long. The horn measures 4 1/2" across. This particular one is not stamped US Regulation just in front of the horn. The mouth piece is still with this one, a Stanley piece. I'm not sure when this one was made. It has seen some use, but is in very good condition with just a couple of small dents in the horn. The brass has taken on a beautiful mellow golden patina. It once had gold gilt, but only traces of the gilt remain here and there. It is stamped MADE IN GERMANY near the mouth piece. The major difference between this one and the other Model 1892's in the shop are this one has two water keys, or spit valves. I don't believe this one was made for the military, especially not the US military!
