Cold War East German Navy Enlisted Summer Garrison Cap

This is an East German Navy enlisted summer garrison cap used during the Cold War. The cap is made of a cotton blend material, is dark blue in color and manufactured in East Germany. An East German cockade is sewn onto the front of the cap, the cap is fully lined. On the right side of the lining stamped in white is NVA 57 1856 D, and a small rectangular tag stamped in black ink reads MADE IN/EAST GERMANY. The 57 indicates the hat size of 7 1/8". The cap is in unused condition.
