WWI Era Embroidery of the Great Seal of the United States

This is a hand sewn embroidery of the Great Seal of the United States of America from the World War I era. The hand stitched seal is housed in a WWI period plaster of paris gold frame that was very popular during that time period. The frame is 13" across and has a 2" section at the top where the plaster is damaged. The seal itself is in very good condition. The colored threads are still very vibrant. These were popular during WWI and were often seen displayed along with the blue star service flags. If you have a WWI collection this will look good with your Home Front items.
