Pre Civil War One Piece Militia Button

This is a non excavated one piece coat size Militia button from the early 1800's period. The button is back marked BEST PLATED/LONDON. The button is in very good condition. It has an eagle facing to the right, clutching three arrows in the left talon and an olive branch in the right talon. The perimeter of the button has 17 five pointed stars encircling the eagle. The button measures 19mm and the majority of the silver plating is worn off. The shank is present and standing tall. This button will make a great start for any collection.
