1800's Tin Storage Container

This is a tin storage container from the 1800's. It stands approximately 6" tall and is 4" across the bottom. The container is made of tin, and holds approximately 12 ounces of liquid. It has a gilt finish that is intact only in the recessed areas. Engraved on the bottom section are the letters A.W. There is an engraving on each side of the letters, one of a church and the other looks to be a farm setting. This small container could have been used to store most any liquid. On the bottom is a hallmark of 12 E, I haven't been able to determine who that denotes. This is a nice decorative piece that will look great on your mantle or antique furniture display.
