Civil War Period Saddle Girth Strap

This is a saddle girth strap from the Civil War period. It measures 22" long and 4" wide. The body of the strap is made of woven fabric. On each end of the strap are leather pieces, sewn onto the strap. The leather pieces support the iron ring and roller buckles used to attached the girth to the cinch straps of the saddle. The woven fabric is frayed along on edge, and the leather pieces are a little dry, but all in all this girth strap is in good condition. If you have a saddle and need a girth strap, check this one out!
