Late 1800's Iowa Territorial State Seal Button

This is a non excavated Iowa Territorial State Seal button from the late 1800's period. This two piece button is coat size and has an American eagle on the face. The back mark is M.C. LILLEY & CO./COLUMBUS O. The face is dent free, no mars or blemishes. The eagle is facing to the right, clutching an arrow in it's beak and a bow in the left talon. The raised letters of IOWA are below the eagle. The majority of the gilt remains on the button, missing just traces in the raised areas. The shank is all still present and straight.
