This book was written by Jennings Cropper Wise, published in 1959, the narrative is 957 pages and is not illustrated. Originally published in 1915, when Jennings was commandant of the Virginia Military Institute, the Long Arm of Lee has never been surpassed as an authoritative study of the Confederate artillery in the Civil War. He describes the organization and tactics of the field batteries of General Lee's Army of Northern Virginia and their performance during many of the famous battles. This hardback book is in very good condition, with a dust jacket that is in fair condition.
