Mid 1800's Trade Axe Head

This is a mid 1800's Rockaway style axe head from east Tennessee. It measures approximately 5 1/4" wide and 3 5/8" high. This is the perfect size for a camp or belt axe, very similar to the ones used during the American Revolution. This one was made in the mid 1800's and has an unidentified touch mark on one side. It weights approximately 3 pounds and no longer has the haft. This came in to the shop from the local Elizabethton, Tennessee area.
