This is a .58 caliber three ring Minie bullet that was recovered on private property in Henrico County, Virginia, near the site of the Battle of Fair Oaks. This bullet is in dropped condition, and shows evidence of having been chewed, or at least bit down on. The lead has turned white from being in the ground over 150 years! This is a nice, inexpensive little piece that could be the start of a young Civil War buffs collection! This relic comes in a clear plastic display case with removable top.
