This is a solid brass toy cannon from the 1800's. The cannon measures 11 3/4" in length, 4 3/4" tall and 4 1/2" wide. The carriage, wheels and the cannon tube all have a deep bronze patina. There are no stamps or markings on the cannon to identify the maker. I believe that this is a European made toy cannon. A small horse is mounted on the rear of the cannon, just forward of the trailing wheel. It appears that this cannon was made to actually fire, but I wouldn't recommend it. These make great desk display items, Christmas and birthday gifts.
