This is a non excavated Eagle button from the Indian Wars period. This two piece button is cuff size and has an American eagle on the face. The button is not back marked. The face is dent free, no mars or blemishes. The eagle is facing to the right, clutching a laurel branch in the right talon and three arrows in the left talon. In the center of the eagle is a plain shield, with the letter A inset in the shield. The majority of the gilt remains on this button. The shank is still present and standing straight.
