Non Dug 12 mm Pinfire Revolver Cartridge

This is a 12mm long pinfire cartridge from the Civil War era. The copper cased cartridge is head stamped in an oval around the rim of the case, "H B PARIS", which stands for HOULLIER & BLANCHARD of Paris, France. The case length is 22 mm with a projectile diameter of 11.30 mm. The brass ignition pin contrasts well with the dark copper case. The projectile has an aged, grayish white patina to it. There aren't a whole lot of these pinfire cartridges from the Civil War floating around out there. If you have a Civil War ammunition collection, or especially if you have a pinfire revolver collection, this one needs to be in it!
