USMC P1955 Eagle Globe and Anchor Collar Insignia

This is a USMC Pattern 1955 Eagle Globe and Anchor collar insignia used during the Vietnam war era. This collar insignia is made to be worn on the right collar, so that the anchor is on the inboard side. KREW had contracts with the Marine Corps in the 1960's to supply EGA insignia. This one when manufactured was subdued, meaning it had a black finish to it. Over a period of time these devices would lose the blackening through normal handling and wear. Almost all of the black is gone from this ega, showing some great detail work on the eagle and globe. The back is marked KREW on the left wing. This little jewel will fit nicely into your Vietnam era Marine Corps display!
