This is an Ancient and Honorable Artillery coat button from the late 1800's. The button is two piece in design, measures 25 mm and utilizes a shank. It is back marked D, EVANS & CO. ATTLEBORO MASS. The face of the button shows the official seal of the company. Beneath the shield, written on a banner in Latin is the motto "FACTA NON VERBA", translated it means "Deeds, not words". The button shows some wear from use, but retains all the original gilt.
