Pre Civil War New Orleans Rent Receipt

This is a receipt of rent payment for property located at 50 Daphine St, New Orleans, Louisiana. The receipt measures 2 1/4" tall and 6" wide and is a light blue color. The receipt is signed by a William A Delachaise, owner of the property, and P.W Woodliff, the renter of the property, for the amount to be paid of $75. The receipt states "Received from Mr P.W Woodliff the sum of Seventy five dollars for one month rent of Property No 50 Dauphine Street, due this day. New Orleans, 31 August 1849". The reverse side of the receipt is blank. The receipt is in very good condition, no rips or tears to the paper. The printed ink, as well as the hand written ink, is in very legible condition. This little receipt is almost 170 years old and is in amazing condition. If you collect early American documents this will go well with your collection.
