Vermont State Militia Button

This is a non excavated Vermont militia coat size button from the Civil War. The button is of a two piece design with a border and measures 23 mm. The back mark is of "SCOVILL MFG CO. WATERBURY". The majority of the gilt remains on the button. The shank is still reporting for duty and standing tall. A nice piece to complete your button collection, or maybe the final piece you need to complete a restored Civil War coat from the state of Vermont.
