This is a set of four United Confederate Veteran button from the late 1800's. All four of the buttons are two piece, two are vest sized and two are coat sized. The majority of the gilt is gone from the buttons, leaving a mustard yellow patina. The buttons have a lined background, with a Confederate battle flag, the letters UCV and the dates 1861-65 on the face. These buttons were worn on United Confederate Veterans reunion uniforms. One button is back marked "GOODWINS PAT. JULY 27 1875", the other three are blank. The shanks are present, three of them are straight as an arrow! This will add a little touch of color to your UCV collection!
