US Pattern 1942 Naval Belt Plate with Belt

This is a Pattern 1942 Navy officer's dress belt and plate. The belt plate features a left facing eagle instead of the right facing eagle. This change was authorized in 1942, hence the P1942 designation. The belt is adjustable all the way out to 36", but is currently adjusted to 30". The leather pad that gos behind the belt plate is stamped 36. It has a width of 1 1/2" wide. There are no sword drops with this belt. The leather is in good condition and shows honest wear along the entire length of the belt. It is still very pliable and could be worn today. It would certainly dress up your World War II Naval mannequin!
