1800's Spanish Southwestern Spur
Item #: AA1602
This is a relic condition spur that was picked up near the Santa Fe Trail in Glorieta, New Mexico. It is made in the Spanish style used in the southwestern United States during the 1800's. This iron spur is the lighter than one might imagine, weighing just over one pound. The heel band is bent outwards and measures 3 1/4" across the opening, is 15/16" wide and approximately 1/16" thick. The neck measures 1 1/4" in length, 3/8" in width and is in a small figure 8 pattern. The 6 point rowel and pin are present and the rowel spins freely. Part of the leather strap is still on the spur. Another great looking piece of South Western decor for your home or office.
