This is a Victorian "aide memorie" from the 1800's. It measures 3 1/8" tall and 1 5/8" wide. Normally these have the seven days of the week, sometimes just six, printed on a celluloid sheet to jot down reminders for the week. This one has Monday through Saturday. The front cover is also made of celluloid and has two small medallions. These little "day planners" were carried by a lot of officers during the Civil War.
