This is a Carte De Vista of an unknown gentleman from the studio of George P. Hall of St. Louis, Missouri. Hall was a photographer located at No. 63 North Fourth Street in St. Louis, selling his business sometime in 1867. I can't tell if this is late war or post war, but the figure looks to be wearing an overcoat over a military uniform. The image has good clarity and is undamaged. The corners are sharp, and the card has not been trimmed. The back is marked within an ornate oval design "GEO.P.HALL/PHOTOGRAPHER./No. 63 N. Fourth street/St. Louis, Mo." It measures 2 1/2" wide and 3 15/16" tall. The only flaw with the image is a small chip in the bottom left corner is peeled off. This is some research to be done to identify the subject, but I just don't have the time.
