This is a leather holster patterned after the Colt Model 1860 Army Holster with good condition and eye appeal. The flap has an issue, the leather is torn where the closure button secures the weapon. An Eagle General Service button has been sewn on to secure the flap closed. It's a two piece button but has no back mark. The seam shows very good stitching and the belt loop is attached with a copper rivet. The toe has no plug and I don't believe it ever did. There are no cartouches or inspector stamps to be found on the leather anywhere. The shadow of a Colt Navy can be seen from across the room in the leather. The leather itself is a little stiff, but you can still slide a Navy revolver in it. No way of knowing if this one as Confederate used or not, but i do believe it was a veteran of the Civil War.
