This is a 16 panel two piece mold 1 gallon cider jug manufactured by the Owens-Illinois Glass Company. It measures 11 1/4" high and 6" across the bottom. The makers codes on the bottom identify this jug as being made by the Owens-Illinois Glass Co plant in Charleston, West Virginia in 1930. This one has a little unique flaw, as only 8 of the 16 panels go all the way to the base of the spout. When the spout is oriented to the left the letters CC are visible on the spout just below the rim. The eight panel ribs facing to the front of the jug go all the way up to the base of the spout. The 8 panels on the back only go up to where the glass curves. The original cork stopper is still with the jug. This clear glass container would make a killer kitchen decoration!
