Leather Map Case

This leather map case measures 17" in length and 3" in diameter. The outer leather covering of the case is black in color. It shows quite a bit of wear and tear, with several tears and holes. The brown leather shoulder strap is broken, but could easily be repaired. The leather strap for the removable cap is missing, again another easy repair. The actual leather case is very solid, being made of brown leather. All stitching is very strong on the case and straps. There are no markers marks or identification marks anywhere on the case. Officers, Engineers and scouts would have all had one of these seemingly insignificant but in fact important personal articles. Even without the repairs this little artifact would look great in an officers display, or a camp table or desk setting!
