US Belt Plate

Model 1839 non excavated waist belt plate. It measures 3 3/8" wide and 2 1/8" tall. The face has a few small scratches and there is a small bend just above the upper corner of the S. This plate uses the arrow hooks on the back, all three hooks are present. The lead back is all there too! The brass has just begun to turn a darker brown patina, but still has some shine. Great looking piece of Federal Civil War history for the belt plate collector.
