M91/30 Bayonet
Item #: AA650
M91/30 bayonet made for the Mosin Nagant rifle. This is a second variant without the front sight shield. It measures 19 1/2" overall, with a 17" cruciform blade. The spike type bayonet retains 95% of it's original bluing. The serial number 12752 might make you think this is an early production run. Unfortunately the Russians reused the serial numbers without stamping the production year, so I'm not sure exactly when it was made. They were produced from 1930 through 1965. The star below the serial number indicates this one was made at the Tula arsenal. On the opposite side are three inspector marks, a circled C, the Roman numeral IX and what looks to be a circled PG. These were the bayonets for the Russian workhorse of the second world war, the model 1891 rifle. Inexpensive piece of World War II history
