Cadet Belt Plate

Waist belt plate known as the "cadet" style due to a high usage of military schools and academies. This plate was utilized from 1880 through 1910. It is a die struck rolled brass plate with an applied brass tongue and belt loop bar. The popular eagle wreath design is utilized that was first adopted in 1851 and remained in use until 1941. An example of this plate is found in O'Donnel & Campbell's book "American Military Belt Plates" on page 500.
