Antique Brass Spitton

Vintage brass spittoon from the American west. This one was purchased on a trip in New Mexico. There are no maker marks or history of being in Deadwood when Wild Bill got shot! Just an old cuspidor made of brass that has a very dark patina to it. The lip is slightly bent at the top on one side and there is a small stress crack where the body halves join. It measures 5" tall, 4' across the bottom and 7 1/8" across the opening. Lots of folks are using these for planters and flower pots now.
