Confederate Veteran's Slouch hat

United Confederate Veteran's slouch hat circa 1870 - 1890. Extremely nice black felt hat with a 3 /12" brim and a 4" crown. The black silk hat band is present and has just a little fraying on one edge of the bow. On the front of the crown is a laurel wreath with the letters CV afixed in the center. A black and gold hat cord with two acorns has been added to the hat long ago. The leather sweat band is present and has no damage and just a little discoloration from being worn. A tag with the size of 7 1/8 is still on the rear of the band, and in gold lettering is embossed The Norman Brand. Above the lettering is the initials of the hat company, but I can't make the logo out. This is an absolute beautiful representation of a late 1800's veterans reunion hat! No need to ever upgrade here.
