1/4 Plate Ambrotype of a seated Union soldier. This is a very sharp image of a seated infantryman in full "battle rattle". He is wearing a 9 button sack coat, kepi, cartridge box with eagle breast plate, waist belt with cap box and US buckle, and Model 1816 bayonet. He is holding a Model 1842 three band musket while seated in front of a patriotic camp scene. The image is in a leatherette case that is missing the cover. An overall great image of a Union infantryman armed and in full leathers.
