1/6 Plate Ambrotype of a seated Confederate soldier. The half image is very clear and shows a young Confederate wearing a vest under his shell jacket. It appears that he is an infantry soldier by the cuffs on the jacket. The image measures 3 1/4" by 3", and the leatherette case measures 3 5/8" by 3 3/16". The case has separated at the binding, but could easily be repaired. The clasp is present as well as the catch. This would make a nice addition to your Civil War image collection.
