Excavated Burnside Breast Plate

Excavated "Burnside" breast plate recovered at Fredericksburg, Va. These plates were issued to Maine regiments along with the Volunteer Maine Militia (VMM) cartridge box plates. A standard breast plate measures 63 to 66 mm, while the Burnside measures 59 mm. This is an excellent representative of a rare plate. There are absolutely no nicks, dings, dents or any other imperfections or damage on this one! The lead back is complete as well as both hooks. Absolutely no need to upgrade this one! If your Yankee plate collection is shy a Burnside, you better jump on this one!
