Vintage Hand Carved Wood Duck Decoy 1920's-1940's

This is a vintage hand carved wooden duck decoy from the 1920's to 1940's. The decoy measures 16" from the bill to the tail and is 6" at it's widest point. This one is painted a darker, almost black, color. The only color that stands out is the old faded yellow on the bill. The glass eyes are still firmly in the head. The hand carving is evident throughout the decoy. A lead weight is attached to the bottom of the decoy, along with a third staple used to attach a string to to tie up and retrieve them by. There is no identification on the decoy as far as who made it. This one would look great in your lodge or hunting cabin.
