Late 1800's Brass Lock with Key Marked Ames Sword Co.

This is a brass padlock manufactured for the Ames Sword Company of Chicopee, Massachusetts in the late 1800's. This small brass lock measures 2 3/8" high by 1 5/8" wide. The back of the shank is stamped AMES SWORD CO. CHICOPEE MASS/PAT SEPT. 19, 1882. It comes with one key, but the lock doesn't want to unlock. Cool little piece for the lock collector in the family.
