Early 1900's Hand Crafted Skinning Knife

This is an early 1900's hand crafted skinning knife. The knife has an overall length of 13 1/4" and a blade length of 8 3/8". The wood handles are attached to the blade tang through the use of brass pins. The carbon steel blade is pit free and still retains some original finish. The cutting edge looks to have seen a sharpening wheel at some point, or possibly a file. The high quality carbon steel this blade was forged from still has a very sharp edge. This would make for a nice representation of a mountain man/trapper/fur trader reenactor skinning knife.
